Palace Court Theatre (Hinton Rd, BH1 2ET), Bournemouth
“Midsummer night, the feast of innocent joys...”
At the wealthy Julie's house party, deeply buried secrets emerge, unspoken tensions bubble and the course of her and her servants John and Christine's lives are changed.
This new adaptation doubles the characters in the play, placing the action in its original 19th century setting and in the modern world, bringing to the fore the themes of class, gender relations and sexual dynamics in August Strindberg's 1888 classic text.
The first production in the newly restored Palace Court Theatre's downstairs performance space, Miss/Julie will be an intimate, charged and dynamic experience that you won't want to miss.
PLEASE NOTE: The performance space is only accessible via a series of steps. There is no lift access to the Clubroom.
All seating is unreserved.
