About

Henna Society
Welcome to the AUB Henna Society! Our society is dedicated to exploring the beautiful art of henna and fostering creativity within our community. Whether you're completely new to henna or an experienced artist, you'll find a welcoming space to learn, relax, and connect with others. Our Aims: Learn the fundamentals of henna, its cultural significance, and how creative you can get with it. Host regular workshops for hands-on practice in henna techniques, pattern creation, and design symbolism from various regions. Explore henna as a therapeutic art form for relaxation and healing. What's in Store? Autumn Term: Learn about henna types, materials, and regional design styles. Get hands-on by practicing with henna cones. Spring Term: Start with simple shapes, then advance to basic designs like flowers and vines on paper and skin. Summer Term: Focus on creating your own designs, learn henna care tips, and gain confidence by participating in university events. Accessibility and Inclusivity: All our workshops and events will be held in accessible spaces with comfortable seating. We foster a relaxed, judgment-free atmosphere where everyone, regardless of background or experience, can express themselves creatively. We’ll offer one-on-one support and ensure costs are kept low so that all students can participate. Join the AUB Henna Society to relax, create, and connect!
